Youth Education

Children's Church for ages two through kindergarten meets during the worship service. Here, children are introduced to Bible studies, prayer and spiritual music through age-appropriate activities. Children begin and end the service with their parents and are led to their "chapel" by their group leaders.

Children's Sunday Class for first through sixth graders meets during the worship service. This class helps children explore their faith and grow in a deeper understanding of the Bible and how the stories and lessons relate to them. Children begin worship service with their parents and are led out to their classroom by their teacher after the scripture readings.

The Youth Sunday School class for 7th through 12th grades meets at 9:30 am. Past classes included making a labyrinth, creative study in Narnia, and working with different mediums (wax, mosaic and clay) to express their faith. The class has spent many months on the crisis in Sudan; with topics of exploration including a study of the Sudanese culture through food, history of the conflict and genocide, fund raising, building community awareness, making a prayer tree, and active solutions for what we as Christians are called to do. March will be a study of our spiritual gifts and how we are called to use those. The class will end the school year with a look at film and scripture.
