Seeds of Change Marketplace & Winter Farmers Market
Saturday, December 3rd, 9 am – 1 pm
If you’re a Fair Trade certified vendor, fill out the Seeds of Change Vendor Application here, due Nov. 18th.
Berry is committed to Fair Trade products and practices. The primary way we support the Fair Trade movement is by hosting a marketplace and farmer’s market in the winter.
Berry has hosted Seeds of Change Marketplace for the last 10 years, and we will again host it on Saturday, December 3rd, from 9 am – 1 pm. This much-anticipated event features homemade chili, children’s activities, fair trade food products, and several fair trade and local artisan vendors. The Winter Farmer’s Market has been hosted by Faith in Place, which seeks to empower Illinois people of all faiths to be leaders in caring for the Earth, providing resources to educate, connect, and advocate for healthier communities.
This market will provide small, local farm producers with additional venues to extend their income beyond the growing season. Vendors will include many who are present at the Tuesday and Thursday Lincoln Square Farmers Market.
This market offers an opportunity to stock up for the holidays by purchasing fresh produce, honey, meat, salsa, baked goods, and other delicious foods. Shopping at the Farmers Market will allow you to buy farm-fresh items and cultivate relationships with local farmers beyond the summer season. EBT accepted.
A list of Fair Trade vendors will be posted here once we get closer to the event.
