At the 2011 November meeting of Berry Church Leadership Council, the decision was made with the help of Leadership Council Chairperson, Jess Mahoney, to change the meeting structure of Leadership Council and teams and committees for 2012. This new structure is meant to help cut down on the numbers of meetings and provide more flexibility in decision-making.

CORNERSTONE A is made up of the chairpersons of the Board and committees required by United Methodist Book of Discipline:

Board of Trustees – Doug Renkenberger
Finance and Stewardship – Frank Santoro
Staff-Parish Relations – Alex Menocal
Lay Leadership Development – Amy Ellison

CORNERSTONE B is made up of the chairpersons of the Program Ministry Teams:

Family Ministries Coordinator – Kate Vigliano
Missions – Marlene Morton and Brent Holman-Gomez
Worship – Diane Schoff
Student Pastor – Krista Paradiso

The gatherings of these two CORNERSTONE groups will take place four times per year with the members of each CORNERSTONE rotating facilitation of the meeting and note-taking. A LEADERSHIP SUMMIT of all the members of groups, teams, boards, and committees together with an invitation to the entire church will also take place quarterly. SUMMIT meetings will take place on a Saturday morning, 9:00 am – 11:00 am and will include a time of worship and celebration. The individual teams and groups will convene their own meetings however often they wish throughout the year. The first summit is this weekend.

A special Church Conference is being planned for Sunday, March 4 after morning worship. The purpose of this Church Conference will be to vote on 2012 Budget with revised Pastor Salary. Please mark your calendars with this important meeting.
