Confirmation Class
This class comes at a time in life when a young person (usually around age 12 to 15) wants to explore faith by learning about their own beliefs, the church and other world religions. The class facilitates the decision-making process to confirm the baptismal vows that were made for/by them (most often as an infant). At the invitation of the pastor, young people who are ready, together with their mentor (chosen from the adult church members), gather weekly for 13 to 20 weeks to learn, study, laugh, question, pray, serve and grow. At the end of the class, confirmands who are ready are invited to make vows of church membership during a special service of worship and celebration. |
