Faith + Arts
Writing, music, theater and visual art are all avenues through which Berry expresses one of its four core values-creativity. Believing that the arts are an essential means of both expressing humanity and exploring a faith journey, Berry nurtures artists in its congregation and beyond. The Lincoln Square Arts Center, in partnership with Berry, provides opportunities to investigate social and ethical issues through theater. Berry's Praise Band offers musical worship at each Sunday service. Writers and visual artists find support and encouragement in the Berry Writers' Group or the Berry Artists' Fellowship.
Perhaps most importantly, however, Berry recognizes that creativity is not confined to the traditional arts. Creativity embodies innovation, imagination, originality and risk-taking, attributes that Berry encourages in all its endeavors. The Berry community invites everyone to open themselves to creativity-to be artists of faith.
